About the Author

I am going to use this blog as a general journal for all of my thoughts, opinions and stories.  I have tried using other social applications such as facebook, but all have failed as an outlet and in generating feedback.  I hope this doesn’t make the blog too random or eccentric to follow because I do hope to have followers who can discuss or debate what I post.  But, if not then at least I will have a journal to organize my thoughts and vent to.

Who am I?

I am an anarchist in that I have a strong belief in the values of anarchy and I believe that an anarchic society could work.  I am also strongly drawn to socialism and admire the Scandinavian countries which I plan on moving to as soon as I am able.

I am an atheist or irreligious to be more precise.  I feel as though most atheists do not fully comprehend the impact of what living without religion can mean to their lives.  It seems most atheists just continue to go along with many traditions and cultural norms handed directly down to them from religion.

I am a philosopher and it has had a tremendous impact on my life.  When I come to a conclusion, such as my realization that there can be no God, I try to explore completely what that means and how it affects every aspect of my life.  For example, my exploration of atheism forced me to find a completely new and secular moral system.  Sometimes, my theories, whether right or wrong, have disastrous influences on my actions and act as brutal learning experiences.

I am a husband and a father.  I have been married since 2006 and I am in an open marriage because my wife and I both identify as polyamorous.  I have a son who was born in 2009 who completely changed my life but I only feel freer for it.

I welcome any questions, discussions, comments, or debates whether publicly posted or privately emailed to me.  This is my social platform and I just hope with it I can achieve a higher standard of conversation than what the internet is typically known for.
